B.J. Bluesman, an extraordinary guitarist, is known as the "Musicians Musician" with the typically husky voice of a well travelled bluesman. His style is unique, gifted and versatile ranging from Django Reinhart, B.B.King, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, with incredible renditions of Carlos Santana and an absolutley breathtaking tribute to Gary Moore's "Parisienne Walkways"......a definate must see and hear for all Gary Moore fans. He also covers more rock and roll, reggae numbers, jazz standards, ballads, country etc etc.
In the early 70's B.J. studied classical guitar in the Music Academy in Germany, and from 1975-1980 he toured throughout Europe with many bands. For 5 years he lived in India where he studied Indian Karnatak music and joined the Goa Family band. between 1985 and 1990 he taught all stles of guitar in his native Germany whilst still performing and continuing with studio work.
From the 90's onwards he had signed a contract with a German Theatre Orchestra as the lead guitarist, and toured in musicals such as "Rocky Horror Picture Show" "Jesus Christ Sperstar" and others. He later moved to Spain to try new territory and joined the legendary John Wright band, a famous Scottish border folk band, and recorded an album guesting as their lead guitarist. Since moving to Spain, about 17 years ago, he has recorded 2 albums with Jezz Woodroff, songwriter and ex member of the Robert Plant Band. In the last 3 years he has recorded 4 cd's, "Homage to India", "Dinner with B.J", "All the songs that had no name" and "Torrevieja Blues". He now continues to play as a solo artist, as brilliantly as ever, and is in constant demand, playing regularly. So if you want to listen to something else...his new show is perfect for bars, cafes and restaurants (background music) and also is available for private parties.
